Overview
The bank feed is designed to keep a record of the entries as per the bank account and these entries will later be reconciled against what is recorded within Property Shell.
This process is typically done at the end of the month to import the list of monthly transactions from the bank.
Currently there are no live bank feeds within Property Shell. We provide a simple CSV import from all major financial providers.
Importing Bank Feed Line Items with CSV Import
Before being able to import bank feed line items, You need to export the csv file from your bank.
Important: Make sure to only export the transactions (date range) that have not already been imported into Property Shell.
To import bank feed line items:
- Navigate to Purchaser Payments from the left hand menu
- Go to the Bank Feed tab
- Go to Bulk Import CSV
- Select your trust account and financial provider/bank and then upload the CSV file
- Click Review
- Review the list of items, especially on the Credit and Debit Column (based on the data you provided. All Debit Transactions should be Credited to your account as those are the transactions that come in)
- Click Upload Ledger Items button
Important: Only import transactions that don't already exist within Property Shell, otherwise, you may end up with duplicate entries so be sure to filter out those which already exist.
