How File Restriction Works
You're able to expose certain files to certain users but restrict down what files can be seen based on those type of files. Whether uploading a file to a property or a project or some other section of the platform you can choose the category of file when you upload it.
You can see in the screenshot below that there is a list of files against the property and these files have different categories as denoted by the "Category" column.
How To Set File Restriction
You can use these categories to restrict access. If you go to:
Settings > Access > Records
And scroll down to the Files section (provided you have the "View Files" permission checked under the permission tab), You will see the ability to restrict file access.
From here if you check the checkbox "Restrict Access By Categories", you can limit which types of files users can see.
This can include a list of project files, property files or other files as shown in the list above.
Once set only those files will be visible to users within that team.
