Creating a Project

Overview


The Projects sub heading on the left hand panel of Property Shell will expand to show all Projects currently imported into the CRM. These can include a range of current or past projects and Categories can be set to group projects together.


Creating A New Project


To create a new project, expand the Projects menu and select + Add New

If you do not see this option, you'll need to have the Manage/Edit Projects permission set up.



Project Form Settings


Project settings are managed from the project pop-up form that appears when you + Add New. You can also access these Settings any time by heading into a project and clicking the cog wheel icon on the right hand side of a project page


General



  • Name: Set the name of the project.
  • Type: Choose from a list of project types (e.g., Apartment, House and Land, Commercial). This selection determines the setup of the project by providing relevant fields.
  • Default Colour Schemes: Enter a list of available colour schemes separated by commas to create a dropdown field for any sale.
  • Category: Create a category to group multiple projects together.
  • Carpark & Storage Management: Check this box to set up and manage carparks and storage independently.


About


The About section will allow you upload a Project Logo/Hero Image and Project description:


Reservations


The settings in this section will determine the requirements in the Reservation process. 


The first three checkboxes relate to settings on the reservation form for users that do not have the Manage Sales permission. This means that the platform will enforce any user lacking these permissions to include deposit information, require approval and prompt the user to upload the Evidence of a Sale upon reserving.



Full Deposit


This section will allow users to set up Deposit behaviors within a Project. 


 

  • Full Deposit Amount Percent: Enter a percentage amount to update full deposit amounts based on the total property price. Note that changes will only affect new lots after saving. You can leave this blank if different lots have different deposit amounts.
  • Full Deposit Due Days After Contract Signed: Automatically generate the date the full deposit is due based on this value.
  • Full Deposit Triggers Exchanged Unconditional: Set a trigger to automatically change the sales status to Exchanged Unconditional when a full deposit is paid. Disable this if you prefer to manage the status changes manually.
  • Allow Unconditional Contracts Without a Full Deposit: Enable this option to set lots to Exchanged Unconditional without requiring a full deposit.



Stacking Plan


These settings relate to the Stacking Plan and how it displays on the project page. You may want to adjust these settings depending on your project and on what best suits your needs.



  • Dwelling Location Sort: Sort properties in ascending or descending order.
  • Hide Unauthorised Tiles: Hide properties that are not released.
  • Normalise Width Sensitivity: Adjust the sensitivity to display property sizes relative to each other.
  • Default View: Choose to view your project as a stacking plan or a sales list.



After creating the project, proceed with the following steps to import properties:
